How many different Planeswalkers can be in play in MTG?
In Magic The Gathering, there's no limit to how many different Planeswalkers can be in play. The key is they must all be different; you can't have two of the exact same Planeswalker card in play under your control. So, if you have the mana and the cards, you could technically have a board full of Planeswalkers, all plotting against your opponent!

Actually, the sky's the limit (or should I say, the multiverse?). Each Planeswalker must be unique by name. So, build that Superfriends deck and go wild!
Just to mix things up, I've seen games with 5 or more Planeswalkers on the board at once. It's chaos, but in the best way! Watching all those abilities go off is like a fireworks show.
