How Many Editions of Base Set Pokemon Cards Are There?
RatingLink·7 months agoJust two: First Edition and Unlimited. Shadowless is just a variation of the First Edition, not a whole separate edition by itself. Keep it simple, folks.

There are three main editions of the Base Set Pokemon cards. First is the original 1999 release, often referred to as the 'Unlimited' edition. The second one is the 'First Edition,' which features a little 'Edition 1' stamp on the cards - these are super coveted among collectors. And lastly, there's the 'Shadowless' edition, which is similar to the First Edition but without the shadow on the right side of the image box. So, if you're hunting down all the variations, those are your big three targets.
