In MTG, 'too many gates' really depends on your deck strategy and the format you're playing. For most decks, running too many gates can slow you down because they enter the battlefield tapped. That said, if you're playing a deck specifically built around Gate synergy (like a 'Gates Matter' deck in a casual or Commander game), then the more, the merrier! Just make sure you have a way to deal with the speed bump they cause.

Gates? Just throw in all you've got if you're playing Maze's End! Win-con for the win!

Honestly, anything more than 10 gates in a standard 60-card deck is pushing it. You're gonna end up with a lot of tapped lands and slow starts, which is not where you want to be against faster decks.

Two words: Diminishing Returns. Seriously, if your deck is tripping over its own feet because you wanted to recreate 'The Lord of the Rings' with gates, you've gone too far.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
