Most Tetris games will up the speed every 10 levels, but there's no cap – it’s infinite until you fail. Good luck!
Technically, there is no fixed number of levels in Tetris. It just keeps getting faster and harder until you can't keep up!
One word: infinite. It just doesn't end; it just gets crazier.
For the original Game Boy version, I’ve made it to level 29 before the game speed became too insane. It's technically infinite though.
