It's hard to land an exact number because Wizards of the Coast (the creators of MTG) don't release official player counts. However, it's widely estimated that there are over 35 million Magic The Gathering players worldwide. Considering the game's global reach and the fact it's been around since 1993, that number seems about right. MTG's player base spans across the physical game, as well as the digital version, Magic The Gathering Arena.

Around 35 million, give or take a few. But honestly, between you and me, every other day someone discovers their dad's old card collection in the attic or gets suckered into a game by a friend. So, it's probably more by now.

A lot! Like, seriously, millions of people. Last I checked, estimates were around 35 million globally. And that's not counting the folks who casually play without officially getting counted somewhere. MTG's pretty much everywhere - local game shops, international tournaments, and even online.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
