Depends on where you hit them! A headshot often does the trick, while body shots might need more hits depending on the armor.

It usually takes around 100 damage points, but headshots and armor can change this quick!

From my experience, a few well-placed shots will do the job. Armor and helmet can make it take a bit longer though.
