Oh boy, if you think counting stars in the sky is hard, try counting all the Pokemon cards out there! As of my last count (which, full disclosure, wasn't an actual count), there have been over 34,000 individual card releases worldwide since the game kicked off in 1996. This number is always climbing with every new set release, so good luck keeping up!

Honestly? More than you could probably ever collect. We're talking over 34,000 unique cards, and that's not even including all the different language versions and special editions. So, unless you've got a time machine and a lot of storage, good luck!

Around 34,000, give or take a few hundred. And yes, that's a lot of Pokemon cards. But hey, that's part of the fun, right? Discovering and collecting as many as you can, trading with friends, and maybe even finding that one ultra-rare card that's been eluding you. Happy collecting!
