Actually, it's 10. You can't have more than 10 animal villagers. If you're plotting to create a super dense animal metropolis, you'll have to rethink your urban planning strategy.

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can have up to 10 animal villagers living on your island at any given time. This doesn't include the number of human players (up to 8), who can also have their homes on the same island. So, grab your NookPhone and start inviting because there's plenty of room for new friends!

Just to throw in my two cents based on personal experience, managing your island's population becomes a real strategy in itself. I spent weeks trying to get the perfect mix of personalities and species. Remember, it's all about that island vibe, so take your time to think about who you really want as your neighbors.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
