Developing a game as expansive as Fortnite isn't cheap—expect the budget to be well into the tens of millions range, if not higher.

It probably cost a boatload of V-Bucks. Seriously, though, estimates suggest it could be anywhere from $40 million to $100 million.

Expensive, a.k.a. tens of millions.

Epic Games hasn't disclosed the exact amount, but creating a game like Fortnite likely cost tens of millions of dollars given its scope and scale.

I used to work in game development, and while I can't give exact figures for Fortnite, similar large-scale games often run over $50 million for development and marketing combined.

If you're a Fortnite player looking for extra v-bucks, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Fortnite gift card, which you can win and use to get v-bucks essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
