Just $3.99 could get you a pack and a shot at a holographic Charizard. Ah, the good old days!

Back in '99 when Pok茅mon cards were the craze, a standard booster pack could be snagged for around $3.99. Of course, prices varied a bit depending on where you were shopping. Remember, that was the era of begging parents for just one more pack every trip to the store!

Honestly, I don't get the hype with the prices back then. Sure, $3.99 sounds cheap now, but considering how much allowance money that was? It felt like a fortune as a kid.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
