Old gen Pokemon cards can vary wildly in price, from a few bucks for common cards to the holy grail, 1st Edition Shadowless Charizard, which can fetch tens of thousands! Condition, rarity, and demand all play huge roles in determining value. Always check recent sales for the most accurate price.

Most old Pokemon cards aren鈥檛 worth much unless they鈥檙e in mint condition or are rare editions. Don't get too excited about finding an old Pikachu unless it's a special variant!

Prices depend a lot on rarity and condition. I once sold a moderately worn, 1999 Holographic Machamp for about $50. So even cards that aren't mint can fetch a good price if they're desirable enough.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
