Honestly, it varies. I've seen decks with as little as 8 energy cards work wonders and others with 25. It comes down to your play style and the synergy between your Pokemon and Trainer cards. I personally never go below 10 or above 20.

The amount of energy needed in Pokemon TCG really depends on your deck and strategy. There's no one-size-fits-all answer, but a good starting point is around 12-20 energy cards in a 60-card deck. It's all about balance. Too much energy and you'll draw them when you don't need them; too little, and you won't be able to power your Pokemon's attacks. Adjust based on the Pokemon in your deck and how energy-heavy their attacks are!

15 energy cards. No more, no less. That's the sweet spot.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
