As a mage in Dungeon Quest, aim for around 100-150k health for Insane dungeons and 200-300k for Nightmare ones. This balance keeps you alive while still packing a punch with your spells!
From my experience, maintaining at least 10% of your health stat in your armor's upgrades keeps you survivable without sacrificing too much damage.
I usually go with 150k health and the rest into spell power. It's worked for me in both Insane and Nightmare dungeons so far.
