$20k for a card? No way. You could get a car for that. IMHO, it's nuts. But to each their own.
Literal arm and a leg, if we're talking about the Charizard. But really, prices vary wildly. Some first edition cards that aren't as popular or in mint condition might only set you back a couple hundred bucks.
Just a heads up, condition is EVERYTHING. My slightly scratched Pikachu didn鈥檛 get me much, but my buddy鈥檚 mint condition Blastoise paid off his car. Keep 'em pristine!
