You'll need at least 3 Kyanite for the Prawn Suit Depth Module Mk3 and another 3 for the Cyclops Depth Module Mk3. Keep some extras if you wanna build ion power cells too!

I found that about 10 Kyanite kept me covered for all the upgrades I needed in one playthrough. (And some extra for decoration!)

A safe bet is to gather at least 10 Kyanite, just in case. You never know when you'll need some extra!
