Steam usually takes about a 30% cut from game sales on its platform. This is pretty standard across most digital distribution platforms, though! So, if you're selling your game for $10, Steam would take $3, leaving developers with $7.

Steam's cut is a flat 30% for most sales, but it does offer a tiered revenue sharing for games that hit certain earnings thresholds. For sales exceeding $10 million, the cut drops to 25%, and for those over $50 million, it goes down further to 20%. So, the more you sell, the less Steam takes!

Actually, I think Steam's 30% cut is too much. Other platforms offer better deals, especially for indie developers.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
