Typically, reverse osmosis systems waste about 3-4 gallons of water for each gallon of purified water they produce. It's kinda the price we pay for squeaky clean water!

Reverse osmosis systems usually waste about 3-4 gallons of water per gallon of purified water made. Not ideal, but you get super clean water.
