Not gonna sugarcoat it—reverse osmosis can waste a lot of water, sometimes up to 5 gallons per gallon filtered. It's the cost of super pure H2O!

Reverse osmosis systems usually waste about 3-4 gallons of water for every gallon of filtered water they produce. Yeah, it's a bit of a thirsty process!
