Just look at the copyright date at the bottom! Easiest way to tell. Also, the older ones just look... old-fashioned, y'know?

Not all about the date, folks. The artwork and card design can tell you a lot about the era it comes from. Plus, some reprints might trick you with the date, so knowing the visual differences is key.

To figure out how old your Pokemon cards are, check the bottom corner of the card for a small print symbol following the copyright date. The year listed there is when that card was printed, giving you its age. The design and edition can also give you clues; older sets have a different style compared to the newer, flashier cards.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
