Super rare! First edition Pokemon cards are like the golden tickets of the Pokemon TCG world. They were the first print runs of the cards and have a little '1st Edition' symbol on them. Because they were only printed in limited quantities before more were made without the symbol, they're much harder to come by nowadays. Some of these cards, especially in pristine condition, can fetch a pretty penny among collectors.

Not that rare if you ask me. Everyone and their grandma says they've got a 'rare first edition card.' The market's flooded with them.

It really depends on the card. Not all first edition Pokemon cards are created equal. Some like the first edition Base Set Charizard can be worth thousands, but others might not be as sought after. Condition, demand, and rarity all play huge roles in how rare and valuable a first edition card is.

They're basically relics from the ancient times of the late '90s. Finding one in good condition is tough, but if you do, you've struck gold. I found a first edition Machamp at a garage sale once and felt like I won the lottery.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
