Definitely a mix of accurate science and a dash of anime magic. The basic principles are often spot on, but the timeline and ease of creating some inventions are a bit exaggerated.
Honestly, Dr. Stone is more accurate than most science-based shows out there. Sure, Senku's shortcuts wouldn't work in real life, but the core of the science is solid.
As a science teacher, I can say Dr. Stone does a commendable job of portraying scientific principles accurately. The way they explain and execute experiments can be a real eye-opener for viewers, even if some steps are simplified.
