Honestly, Eren should've had a redemption arc that allowed him to live, with humanity and Titans finding a way to coexist. Imagine the potential for peace negotiations and new civilizations!
Mikasa should've been the hero who outsmarts everyone and saves both humanity and Eren from destruction. She deserved more than just being the ultimate protector.
From personal experience, I think Levi should've taken over after Eren鈥檚 demise, leading humanity to a fresh start and maybe, just maybe, discovering new lands outside the walls.
