How to tell if a Pokemon card is fake
RavellingMane路7 months agoA quick way to spot a fake Pokemon card is by checking the card's texture and color. Real cards have a distinct smooth feel and the colors are vibrant and not overly shiny. If the card feels too glossy or the colors seem off, it might be a counterfeit. Another giveaway is the card's weight and thickness; genuine cards have a consistent weight and thickness. Also, take a close look at the card's edges and the font used for text - if they look rough or the font looks odd, those are red flags.

Honestly, most fakes are super obvious. The text is the biggest giveaway for me. If it looks weird or is hard to read, it's probably fake. Plus, real Pokemon cards just feel right, you know?
Just hold it up to the light! Real Pokemon cards have a bit of a holographic layer that fakes often miss. If it doesn't shine in a rainbow pattern, you're probably looking at a fake. Also, legit cards have super crisp text, so if the text looks blurry, it's a no-go.
IDK, some of these fakes are getting pretty good. The only surefire way is to compare it directly with one you know is real.
