First off, check the bottom right corner of the card for a symbol. Common cards have a black circle, uncommon cards have a black diamond, and rare cards have a black star. Also, look out for holographic or foil finishes, as these often indicate a rare or ultra-rare card. Don't forget to consider the card's edition; first editions are usually more valuable!

Honestly, just flip that bad boy over and look for the shiny bits. If it's shining back at you like a diamond in the rough, you've got yourself a keeper. Plus, if there's a tiny black star down in the corner, you're in the rare zone.

Symbols, people! The tiny symbol on the bottom tells you everything. Circle equals common, diamond equals uncommon, and star means you hit the jackpot with a rare card. If it's holographic or has a weird finish, even better.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
