Elements are organized into rows called periods and columns called groups, with similar properties grouped together.

The periodic table is arranged by increasing atomic number, so elements with more protons go up and to the right!

In simpler terms: left to right by number of protons, and top to bottom by recurring chemical properties.

It鈥檚 basically arranged like a giant puzzle where each piece fits based on its atomic number and chemical behavior.
