As someone who's done this, just make sure you have the Ubisoft account linked to the platform you're using. Then, redeem the code from your email on the respective store. You'll be in NYC in no time!
You have to redeem the code they send you in your email. Go to the platform store (PSN, Xbox, or Uplay) and input the code. Voila!
It's in your email, redeem the code, done.
