The game keeps you loyal to your own house, so the common room of the house you're sorted into at the beginning is the only one you'll get to hang out in. Tried and tested, you really can't get into the other common rooms. As much as it pains my Ravenclaw heart, my friend who got sorted into Slytherin won't be seeing me lurking in their common room anytime soon. House loyalty is a big deal in Hogwarts Legacy.
