Accessing the Steam Cloud is pretty straightforward. First, you gotta make sure you're logged into your Steam account. Then, hit up Steam, go to the 'Steam' menu in the upper left corner, and select 'Settings' or 'Preferences' if you're on a Mac. Click on the 'Cloud' tab and check if the 'Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for applications which support it' option is ticked. Voila! You're all set to access your saved games and settings from any computer.

Honestly, I never bother with settings; games just sync up. If you see your saves everywhere you log in, you're golden.
