Activating DLC in Animal Crossing is pretty straightforward! After you've bought the DLC (like the Happy Home Paradise for New Horizons), just boot up your game. The game should prompt you to download the DLC automatically if you're connected to the internet. If it doesn't, head over to the Nintendo eShop, find the DLC under your purchased items, and download it from there. Once downloaded, launch your game, and you'll receive in-game instructions on how to start enjoying your new digital goodies!

I tried downloading the DLC but it wouldn't start automatically. Had to restart my Switch, and then it showed up right away. So, if it doesn't pop up for you, try a quick restart!

Just download it from the eShop, dude. After you buy it, it's pretty much automatic.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
