To activate debug mode in Sonic Mania, start by enabling the level select mode. On the title screen, press Up, Up, Down, Down, Up, Up, Up, Up. Select "No Save" to access level select, then hold X (or Square) and press Start. In the level, press Triangle (or Y on Xbox) to enter debug mode. Go wild!

Once you've accessed the level select, you can hit the Y button on Xbox or Triangle on PS4 to toggle between Sonic and the debug mode cursor. It's basically a playground of rings and gadgets!
The debug mode lets you place items, change Sonic into objects, and have loads of fun. Just get into the level select first!
