First, press F3 to open the debug menu, then press F8 to free up your mouse. Uncheck the 'Disable Console' box. Once done, press the Enter key and then the tilde (~) to open the console. Go crazy with those cheats!

It's super simple: just hit F3, then F8, uncheck 'Disable Console', and press tilde (~). Now you're in developer mode!

In my experience, you just press F3, then F8, uncheck the console thing, and hit ~. Makes life so much easier!
