Super simple! Go to Settings (click the gear icon), then set Shift Lock Switch to 'ON'. After that, just press Shift while playing to activate it.

First-hand experience here! Make sure your game allows it. In Settings, toggle Shift Lock Switch to 'ON', then press Shift in-game. It saved my life on an obstacle course once!

Shift Lock isn't available on mobile devices, FYI. Only PC players can use it.
