Sadly, you can't pause State of Decay 2 while playing solo. The game keeps going even if you hit the menu screen. Keep those zombies on their toes!

You can't pause the game in single-player mode. Best bet? Find a safe spot, like an outpost, to take a quick break.

There’s no pausing in State of Decay 2, but you can take shelter in an outpost to avoid zombie ambushes if you need to step away.
