Easy peasy! Open Fortnite, go to the main menu, navigate to the 'Friends' tab, and click 'Add Friend.' Enter your friend's Epic Games username (not their PSN), and hit send. Voilà, you're now Fortnite buddies!
Just get their Epic Games name and add them in the Friends tab. It's that simple!
You don't need to add them in Fortnite, just add them on your PS4 directly from the friends menu. Old school but it works.
I’ve done this a million times! Just open Fortnite, click on the 'Friends' tab, and use their Epic Games username to send them a friend request. Make sure it's their Epic UID and not their PSN ID!
