To add a research station to your ship in Starfield, head to any Ship Services Technician. You can find these savvy individuals at major spaceports. Once there, enter the ship customization menu, and you'll have the option to add various modules, including research stations. Just make sure your ship has enough space and resources for the new addition, and you'll be researching like a space scientist in no time!
Guys, it's simple... Just go to your ship's nostril (that's the menu) and choose the research station. Easy peasy!
Visit a shipyard, and speak to an engineer. It'll give you options to add or change modules on your ship – include a research station from there!
