Honestly, never saw the need for temporary profile pics. Just change it when you want and change it back when you're over it.
Go to your profile, click on your pic, hit 'Update Profile Picture,' upload or pick a new one, and set it as temporary from there.
Super easy! Just go to your profile, click on your current profile picture, select 'Update Profile Picture,' then choose or upload a new one. After that, look for the option to make it temporary and set how long you want it to stay up. Done and done!
