Honestly, adding amiibo cards feels a bit like a cheat to me. Part of the fun is the randomness of which villagers you get.

I added my favorite character using an amiibo card and it was super simple. Just make sure you're at the Nook Stop terminal, and the game does the rest for you. It鈥檚 a game-changer if you're trying to curate your island's residents!

To add amiibo cards to Animal Crossing, first, make sure your game is updated to the latest version. Then, head over to the Nook Stop terminal in Resident Services. Choose the 'Invite amiibo camper' option and simply scan your amiibo card using the NFC touchpoint on your right Joy-Con controller or the Pro Controller. Voila! Your chosen character should now appear in your game.

Just scan 'em on your Joy-Con, dude. Easy peasy.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
