DebiasingPons路7 months agoHonestly, just dual-boot Windows if you can. Saves you the headache of compatibility issues and performance hiccups. Sometimes the old ways are the golden ways.

Just run everything through Proton. Battle.net works fine if you set it up with Proton and tweak a few settings. Make sure you're on the latest version of SteamOS, and check out ProtonDB for specific game compatibility and tweaks. It's the gaming equivalent of duct tape; it fixes everything.
Adding Battle.net to the Steam Deck ain't worth the trouble. Most games work, but you'll jump through so many hoops, it's like auditioning for circus. Plus, the performance can be hit or miss. I'd focus on games directly supported by Steam or Steam Deck.
To add Battle.net to your Steam Deck, you'll first wanna download and install Proton or another compatible Wine version through the Discover Store on your Steam Deck. Then, get Lutris from the same place, 'cause it makes installing and managing Windows games a breeze, including Battle.net games. Open Lutris, and you should be able to find a script for installing Battle.net directly. It's a bit like cooking a fancy meal, just follow the recipe (or script) and you'll get there!
