Actually, it's even simpler than some make it out to be. Just use their in-game name. Cross-play is a built-in feature, so as long as you've got their name correct, you're good to go. No need to overcomplicate it.

Tried adding a friend from PC to my PS account and it was a breeze. Just make sure cross-play is enabled in the game settings first. Then, finding and adding them through the in-game menu was straightforward. Happy gaming!
