How to Add Friends in State of Decay
In State of Decay 2, you can add friends by inviting them directly through Xbox Live or the Microsoft Store if you're on PC. Just open up your in-game menu, go to the multiplayer tab, and invite your friends from your list!

You can't add friends in the original State of Decay, but you can definitely team up in State of Decay 2 by using the 'Invite Friends' option from the multiplayer menu. Get ready to bash some zombie heads together!
Just send them an invite via the multiplayer tab if you're playing State of Decay 2. Sorry, the first game doesn't support multiplayer.
