Open Fortnite, head to the Social tab on the top left, type your buddy’s Epic Games username, and hit 'Add Friend'—easy peasy!

On the main menu, click the Friends icon (top left corner), enter their username, and click 'Add Friend'. Boom, you're done!

Honestly, you just need to ask for their Epic username, search it up in the Friends tab, and hit that glorious 'Add Friend' button.
