Adding friends in Animal Crossing on the Switch is super easy and makes the game even more fun! First, make sure both you and your friend have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Then, one of you needs to open your island's gate at the airport by talking to Orville and choosing to invite visitors via online play. The other person just needs to visit their airport, talk to Orville, and choose to visit an online town. Just make sure you've exchanged your Switch friend codes beforehand!

Quick tip: You can also add friends directly if you've played with them before through your Switch profile. Just go to your profile, find the user under 'Add Friend', and select 'Search for Users You Played With'. Easy peasy!
