You can add friends on PSN using the web browser. Just go to the official PlayStation website, log in with your account, and search for your friend's PSN ID. Click on 'Add Friend' and you're good to go!

Easy peasy! Just head over to PlayStation's official site, sign in, click the ‘Friends’ tab, and type in your friend's PSN ID. Hit ‘Add Friend’ and done.
