Recruit the hero in a city, then transfer them to your army. Simple as that.
To add a hero to your army in Total War: Warhammer, just recruit them from the hero recruitment panel and then move them to join the desired army. Easy peasy!
Select the settlement where you want to recruit, go to the hero tab, recruit, then move them to your army. Piece of cake!
