For most games, you can use Proton. Go into desktop mode, add your non-Steam game, right-click it, and select 'Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool'. Pick Proton and you're good to go!

You can add non-Steam games by switching your Steam Deck to desktop mode. Open Steam, click 'Games', then 'Add a Non-Steam Game'. Find the game's executable file and add it. Simple as that!

Easy peasy! Just open Steam in desktop mode on your Deck, click 'Games' in the top menu, then 'Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library'. Select the game exe from there and boom, done!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
