Adding friends on Valorant is pretty easy! First, open up the game and head to the main menu. Look for the 'Friends' icon (it looks kinda like two people) on the bottom right corner of your screen, and click on it. Then, there'll be a spot that says 'Add Friend'. Click that, enter your friend's Riot ID and the tagline (it’s like their username#1234), and hit enter. Boom, friend request sent!
I don’t get the hype. Just find their username and add. Not rocket science.
Honestly, it's easier to just join a game with folks and add them afterward if you vibe. Hit the 'recent' tab under friends and you can add players from your last game right there.
