How to Add Someone on Roblox Xbox
Hey! To add a friend on Roblox for Xbox, start the game and press the View button (the two squares) on your controller. Navigate to the 'Friends' tab and then select 'Add Friend'. Enter their username and hit 'Search'. Find the right person, then click 'Add Friend' to send a friend request. Easy peasy!

It's a bit tricky. You can try adding them through the Xbox Friends system first, then join them in Roblox.
