How to add someone to family sharing on Steam
First up, make sure you're logged into your Steam account. Go to 'Steam' in the top left menu, then 'Settings' if you're on PC, or 'Preferences' if you're on a Mac. Click 'Family', and you'll see a list of eligible accounts you've recently logged into on your computer. Just check the box next to the account you want to share with and you're golden. They'll now be able to play games from your library, provided they're not currently being played by someone else.

Honestly, I just asked my friend to log into my PC once with their Steam account. After that, they appeared in my Family Sharing settings, easy peasy. We've been sharing games ever since!
Just share your library, but remember, only one person can play at a time from the shared library. No gaming together unless you've both got the game.
