You can also use an external USB 3.1 hard drive for storing and playing backward-compatible games. Just connect it to one of the USB ports, and you're good to go!

The easiest way is to get an official Seagate Storage Expansion Card. Just plug it into the dedicated slot on the back of your console, and voila, extra storage!

PSA: Seagate Expansion Cards are pricey, so weigh your options! Also, if you're looking to store current-gen games, you'll need those expansion cards specifically.

I added an external SSD via USB to my Series S. It was super simple: plug it in, format it, and done. Plus, it鈥檚 cheaper than the Seagate card!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
