Adding friends on Animal Crossing is pretty straightforward! First, make sure you and your friend both have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Then, one of you needs to open your island's gate at the airport by talking to Orville and choosing to invite visitors via online play. The other person then visits the airport in their game, chooses to visit an island online, and searches for a friend's island. Once you visit each other's islands, you'll have the option to become best friends through the Nook Phone, allowing you to do even more activities together!

Just open your gate and tell your friend to come over. Once they're on your island, boom, you're basically friends. Easy peasy.

Honestly, why bother? Just enjoy solo play. Friends complicate things.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
